Twelve thirteen in the AM listening to Elliot Smith... hence the title.
This is an attempt to redeem myself after all those shitty blogs that had been formerly posted. I can write, which is good, writing is something that's kind of on a need to know basis. I guess I'll try my crack at puttin' it out there.
I wanna write for the screen mostly but you can't really just a throw script up online so here's just some random stuff floating in my head...
You find yourself in a completely new perspective, once you get the hell out of high school, even if just for the ten weeks that is considered summer. Now I'm sure I'm in the majority that think summer should start and end when it actually does (on June and September 21st) but know that education is a must. This I don't disagree with but after about eight months in the confines of those dull brick walls you just want to hall ass out of there.
Now you're probably thinking I'm one of those kids who can't stand high school, it isn't like that. It will go week after week that it's great then; you miss some sleep, forget to do that goddamned science homework, and you end up having a panic attack on the way to school. It's always fine once I get there, but that anticipation, that's gotta fuck a kid up.
But thank god for me, I've got seventy days of none of that, seventy days of staying up late and sleeping in. Seventy days of reading books I actually want to, seventy days of friends you could never meet in school. An estimated forty days of work, whose income fuels seventy days and nights of play.
Summer '010 hurry your ass up... cause the teenage population can't stand anticipation, as previously stated.
AND THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS.
